Self Care Ritual with Green Beauty Brand OSEA + GIVEAWAY
I’ve been beauty blogging since 2007, and as you can imagine, I’ve tried a several thousand skincare products over the years. One of my favorite beauty brands, and again, I don’t say this lightly because I’ve tried a ton, is OSEA. If you’re new to this brand, they’re 100% vegan, cruelty-free and clean (non-toxic, free of synthetic ingredients, parabens, petrochemicals, sulfates, etc.). Their formulas are made with certified organic, bioavailable seaweed, infused with pure, cold pressed essential oils that are powerfully anti-aging and highly effective. I also adore that they use eco-friendly recyclable, glass packaging. It’s not only better for the environment, but it makes these goodies feel extra luxe!
In an effort to ramp of the frequency for self-care, which is essential for mental health and overall well-being, I wanted to showcase some of my favorite OSEA products and tell you how I incorporate them for some much needed TLC. Stay tuned at the end for a rad OSEA giveaway announcement!
OSEA Self-Care Essentials
Starting with bath goodies, let’s talk about their Gigartina Therapy Bath, $48. This is a legit spa treatment at home. It’s hydrating and rich in sea minerals, antioxidants, vitamins and essential fatty acids. Organic gigartina seaweed feels silky to the touch and activates upon contact with warm water. The scent is delightful and soothing (lavender and plumeria), making you want to melt into your bath and forget about all your worries. I’m absolutely obsessed with this product!
Salts of the Earth Body Scrub, $42 – I can be pretty hot and cold when it comes to scrubs, as many of them can be abrasive and quite honestly painful. This one is gentle, has a gorgeous and relaxing lavender scent and is made with Bolivian Rose, Dead Sea and Himalayan Pink Salts to help polish dry skin. It also contains organic seaweed and botanical oils of acai, shea butter and passion fruit that help leave the skin hydrated and baby soft.
Vagus Nerve Oil, $48 – I love that OSEA came out with this unique soothing essential oil blend that “invites an uplifting, meditative state of consciousness.” The vagus nerve is the longest cranial nerve in the body – reaching from the brain to the gut. It helps regulate stress, rest, and digestion. This essential oil blend is intended to help activate the calming effects of the vagus nerve response. You simply massage in gently onto the neck, and the scent of juniper, chamomile, and lavender work to help relax and de-stress your body. I like using this post-bath, right before bed.
White Algae Mask, $48 – I know I’m always talking about my hyperpigmentation, sun spots, uneven skin tone, redness, etc., so THIS is definitely my jam. This age-defying mask is intended to brighten, plump and tone skin with its white marine algae, white tea, resveratrol, mineral peptides, and hyaluronic acid. I like to use this mask 2-3 times a week, and my skin has been lovin’ it!
Anti-Aging Body Balm, $48 – First off, I think the name of this product might be a little confusing because it’s more of an oil than a balm. Whatever you wanna call it, though, it is THE SH*T. It has one of the most comforting scents (like an aromatherapeutic hug), citrus-y and floral (geranium, lavender and jasmine) but in a calming way, not overpowering. It’s an ultra silky formula that intensely nourishes, hydrates and promotes firmer, more supple skin. It’s made with mineral-rich Patagonian seaweed, acai, babassu, passion fruit and raw virgin coconut oils that leave your skin smooth like buttah. I use this stuff religiously, especially post bath/post-leg shave, and my skin feels like heaven, y’all! It’s lightweight and absorbs effortlessly without leaving any type of greasy residue. Ugh, I’m this body balm’s #1 fan, no joke…. LOVE.
Ocean Lotion, $38 – If you’re more of a fragrance-free fan, Ocean Lotion is the way to go. It’s easily absorbed and is super lightweight yet packs a punch, deeply hydrating the skin. It’s made with organic seaweed, rosehip, kukui, and avocado oils with pure shea butter – lots of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and trace elements.
Plant-Based Dry Brush, $28 – If you’re unfamiliar with dry brushing, I have a post on VBR that explains the how-to and benefits here. In a nutshell, it’s an incredible way to detox, exfoliate, and energize your skin. I go through phases where I add this to my daily ritual, and I love how my skin and body feel afterward. Definitely read up a bit on dry brushing if you can, it’s fascinating! This particular brush has a beechwood base and plant-based sisal fibers, making it 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
